Trinity Wilson Goes Down In Thrilling Semi Final

Frog Hollow Reserve, Camberwell, 6th March, 8:30 am was the start of the U12a Barker semi final. North Balwyn was up against Trinity Wilison. North Balwyn won the toss and elected to bat. It was a dominant opening partnership lasting 38 runs before O de Stefanis retired not out on 13. Soon after Elwood bowled a great ball and Bibby caught S Pathy on 21.
An impressive partnership between the next two batsmen moved them into a great position. Finally Trinity broke through and dismissed Rudhu on 24! Then just five runs later Hunter-Scott was dismissed for two! Another partnership worth 22 runs helped North Balwyn. Graves broke the partnership to make the score 4/103! Then another 19 run partnership was broken but North Balwyn still made a very competitive score of 5/125.
Trinity was into bat and started with a great opening partnership worth 46 rune between M Yorston and I Elwood. Elwood was eventually bowled on 17 and later Yorston was bowled for 25. R Talwar also made an important 17. For the next bit is was very steady but eventually Trinity was bowled out just three runs short.
