Australia Down South Africa In A Final Ball Thriller

Australia Beat South Africa In A Final-Ball Thriller!!

NEW WANDERERS STADIUM-JOHANNESBURG-SOUTH AFRICA- Australia have just beaten South Africa (Proteas), in a final-ball thriller (Their 1st T20I win in six matches), on the 6th of March at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

I will talk about squad changes, debutants and most important of all the toss. Ashton Agar will make his T20I debut for Australia. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl. I don’t think South Africa would be too disappointed with that decision.

I will talk about South Africa’s amazing innings set up by Faf du Plessis. AB de Villiers and Quinton De Kock will open the batting for South Africa. Josh Hazlewood will open the bowling for Australia. John Hastings gets the dangerman for Australia bowling De Villiers out for 13. Faf Du Plessis will replace de Villiers at the crease. On the last ball of Over 8 Faulkner bowls De Kock out for 44. JP Duminy will replace De Kock at the crease. A few overs later Duminy is caught out for 14. Mitchell Marsh bowls it and Steve Smith catches it. David Miller will now bat at 3rd drop. David Miller is now caught for 33 by Glenn Maxwell bowled by Ashton Agar. Farhaan Behardien is caught out for 3 by Ashton Agar and bowled by James Faulkner. James Faulkner picks up yet another wicket and it is Chris Morris who is caught by David Warner. On the second last ball of innings Du Plessis’ entertaining innings comes to an end when he was caught by Maxwell on 79. There was a very entertaining South Africa innings with a total of 7/204. A difficult run chase for Australia.

I will now talk about Australia’s highlighting innings after a terrible collapse. Aaron Finch and Shane Watson will open the batting for Australia. Kagiso Rabada will open the bowling for South Africa. Australia have lost an early wicket with Aaron Finch being bowled for 2 by Rabada. Steve Smith will bat next and is looking to make an impact. On the first ball of Over 6 Smith is caught for 19 off the bowling of Dale Steyn. Rabada takes an absolute ripper of a catch at 3rd man. In the same over Shane Watson is caught for 9 by JP Duminy. Australia are in trouble here at 3/32. David Warner is batting at his new position 2nd drop with Glenn Maxwell. On the last ball of Over 19 ends an entertaining innings for Maxwell who is caught for 75. Next over David Warner is bowled trying to sweep it on 77. 10 runs off 5 balls. 2 runs now off the last ball. APPEAL!! Made for L.B.W but a bit too high. Marsh drives it straight down the ground and a mis-field for South Africa means Australia can come back for the second and level the series. A 159 run partnership between Warner and Maxwell was amazing. A very entertaining and tense game of cricket but Australia come out winners.
