The Macan is assembled in the body shop from hundred of individual steel and aluminium parts, then the underbody, The production line starts at the under body when the front and back wheel housing is fitted. Now the body assembly. This is when the body is made: The interior, roof, doors, boot lid and the bonnet are installed.

Now the inspection. If you where to visit the huge factory you would see 387 robots just in the body shop . Even though there are innumerable robots human workers are still vital in the assembly of the Porsche body, for controls, system operations and inspection.

Part suppliers deliver separate pre-assembled parts. The assembly line is divided into pre-assembly and final-assembly. The bodies of the Macan and the Panamera are assembled in the pre-assembly. All three models go through the final-assembly. Also can Be called the mix line. Since the Cayen comes pre-assembled so it doesn't need to do pre-assembly.

The final assembly is also the part where one of the highlights of the whole production takes place, called the marriage. It is the highlight because It is a very important step when the drivetrain made of the engine, transmission, axles and exhaust system – meets its chosen body and the two are connected.

Ounce the car is finished it goes through the testing phase. The car is put on two spinning cylinder (the same width apart as the cars wheel base) so the car doesn't drive away, and then they test if all the speeds are correct. Now finally the car has gone through all the steps and is imported to all the country's that it's sold in.
