Automobiles of the future

Cars, they have been around for age’s right, but what’s next?

Probably different to what you think, with the CEO of tesla Elon musk saying he will have his Tesla’s driverless on the road by 2019. Driverless cars, you are probably thinking there starting price would be out the roof, but you’re wrong with the new Tesla model 3 starting price at only $35,000 including all of the self-driving technology it needs to drive by it’s self.

Tesla are not the only ones producing electric cars, which also have the capability to drive by them self in the future, with Porsche investing over 1 billion dollars and BMW are investing even more than Porsche. The main leader investing over 1.6 billion dollars is Mercedes mainly because they don’t even have a hybrid yet .

Are driverless cars the future?

There have been 12 crashes google has caused with their self driving car, but google’s self driving car is still in testing, and has been for six years. Google’s self driving car is not for sale yet but may be in the future. Driverless cars and Electric cars will probably the future with most car companies investing millions maybe even billions of dollars into the new category.

You never know what the future will hold for us, F1 cars may be hybrid in the years to come.

How far are we already? Were probably further than you think with the electric vehicles that are on the market today being able to drive over 550 kilometers without needing to be charged, even a 7 seater model X can do around this, believe it or not, the Tesla model S P90D can accelerate zero to 100 kilometers an hour in 3 seconds with ludicrous mode on. With new companies entering the electric vehicle category will probably be faster and have longer range. This is made real with Porsche Mission E tho it is coming out in 2019-2020 and probably will have a higher starting price.

Here are some some facts about future cars.

  • Elon Musk CEO of Tesla says he will have Teslas driverless by 2019.

  • Electric cars accelerate faster than combustion cars because there is no. delay when accelerate due to it being electric.

  • Google’s self driving car has had 12 accidents since it started six years ago most of them being in the early stages.

  • Google’s self driving car has no steering wheel or gas pedal.
