Maze Runner

Enter the Glade, a land of peace and harmony, and watch it turn into a war zone as Thomas’s life is acted out in a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat: The Maze Runner.

James Smith Dashner, a 43 year old American novel is was born on the 26th of November 1972 and is the author of the Maze Runner series. He lives with his wife and four children in their house in Utah.

In The Maze Runner, Thomas, the main character, wakes up in a box remembering nothing but his name. He then arrives at a place called The Glade, surrounded by a huge maze that moves each night.

He soon discovers that The Glade is run by two boys, Alby and second in command Newt. Thomas later becomes friends with a boy named Chuck as he learns that the box he came in comes up each week with supplies and, every month, a new “Glader”, a boy who lives in The Glade.

Shortly after Thomas arrives, strange things happen to The Glade and the twisting is turning is no longer limited to The Maze, but has now continued on to play with the Gladers’ minds and relationships.

I thought the suspense and mystery was inspirational for young authors.

This action-packed story is a great read for teenagers, action lovers and mystery fans.

I would rate it 10 out of ten chickens.
