Heroes of Olympus book review
The Heroes of Olympus series is a sequel of the Percy Jackson series. In this series our hero, Percy, is accompanied by five completely new characters. The heroes of Olympus books are about 7 seven half bloods(half god half human) from Roman and Greek gods. The gods have split into their Roman and Greek form. Battling for control, and at the same time Gaia the earth mother is stirring and her children the Giants have risen from Tartarus.
This series is divided into 5 books. The lines of the prophecy are:
Seven half bloods shall answer the call
Storm or fire the world must fall
An oath to keep with final breath
And foes bear arms to the doors of death.
On the way through the series you will encounter other small prophecies about all of the new half bloods.
There are 8 new main characters Jason, Piper, Leo, Coach Hedge, Frank, Hazel Reyna and Octavian.
The first book is called “The Lost Hero” it is about Jason, Piper, Leo and Coach Hedge. Jason, Piper, Leo go to an old mansion near the south of san francisco. The mansion is called “the wolf house”.Hera the queen of the Gods and Piper's dad a famous movie actor has been kidnaped by the giants. As well as the king giant awakening in the mansion itself. Will they make it alive? Who will make a sacrifice to save?
My personal favorite is the second book; “The Son Of Neptune”. This book is about the our hero Percy accompanied by Frank and Hazel. It is full of quirks and mysteries. Percy, Frank and Hazel are going to to the land beyond the gods. To get there they have to head north from San Francisco to get to Alaska. There quest is about freeing the death God Thanatos from the eldest of the Giants.
“The Mark of Athena”. The third book is about Annabeth and the coin her Mum gave her. Two Millenniums ago the Romans stole a huge statue of Athena and changed her pride. Ever since Athena has made her children try to find it. The seven demigods have to voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, as well as to sail through the Mediterranean Sea. What will happen to the crew and who will the encounter?
“The House Of Hades”, scary right. It is. Percy and Annabeth have to travel through Tartarus. As well as the rest of the crew trying to get through the ancient lands of Italy and Greece. Percy and Annabeth have to go through different terrains. There journey will be hard and dangerous who will they encounter and who will Guide them through Tartarus? Will they survive?
The last book of the series is called the “The Blood Of Olympus” half bloods have been United once again and are in Greece. On the way to Athens to stop the Giants the seven must stop in a few different ruins in greece. A war is also stirring at Camp Halfblood the romans a getting lead by Octavian the biggest anti greek person. With a victory in the the ship the crew is heading to Athens they face the true Athenians. The prophecy will be complete. An oath to keep with final breath, storm or fire the world must fall. Who will fall, will they survive?
My favourite characters are Frank, Piper, Percy and Jason. They all have a special power that can make them unstoppable, but they also have very fatale flaws. My favourite book it “The Son Of Neptune” it is full of surprises and fun.
These books have a lot of positives and negatives. There are many positives throughout these books; however, the positives caught my attention were that they show a lot of suspense, and it has the most accurate mythology than most other books. The only negative I have is the same caricatures have and get to do the good stuff.
I give these books ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars out of 5 . It is such a great series by Rick Riordan. Hopefully he does more.
